Final Project: Infographic Video Animation

INSTRUCTIONS

TASK

Final Project (Group)

Based on FLIP group topic research, produce a basic video animation. Using a processed design framework, you will now produce an infographic report to present the given information to a ‘target audience’ with the purpose of:
  1. Creating awareness (such as Global Warming, Recycle, etc.)
  2. Explaining a process (such as "how to" video)
  3. Defining a concept (such as "What is Fast Fashion", "What is Color Wheel", etc.)
  4. Any time based media and software using photography, vector imagery.

Design Considerations:
  • Organization Principles – LATCH and Content Organization
  • Aesthetic Principles – Animation principles
  • Cognitive Principles – Principles of visualization

Output Expectation:
The presentation must be deliberated on, consider each assessment rubric of sorts to your final outcome:
  • Show causality
  • Multivariate graphics and visuals
  • Integrate word number and images
  • Content count
  • Within eyesight
  • Use multiple charts
  • Do not de-quantify

Requirement:
Video resolution: 1920px x 1080px HD (min 1.5 mins max 3 mins)

Process

After we formed our group, we each proposed ideas on what topics we should do. Then, we voted to decide on the final topic. Based on the poll, we decided to go with Gaming Addiction Awareness.

Proposal

Then, we all worked on the proposal slides together. Even though our FLIP presentation was on Week 7, we wanted feedback from Mr. Fauzi regarding our topic.

Research

Each member had to research one aspect of gaming addiction awareness as content that can be added into the infographic video. We applied the LATCH principle for any information that was viable. Then, the key information were highlighted as indicator to be included in the final video animation.

Script

Based on the storyboard and highlighted key contents, we created the script for the infographic video animation first, as Mr. Fauzi said we should do the voiceovers before animating.

Final

The final infographic video animation was created using software such AE, PR and Canva.

REFLECTION

This project emphasized the importance of conciseness in conveying complex information. With gaming addiction being a broad topic, we had to carefully filter details to keep our animation clear and engaging. This experience reinforced the value of simplicity in design and communication, ensuring that our message remained impactful without overwhelming the audience.

Teamwork and communication played a crucial role in our success. Delegating tasks helped distribute the workload efficiently, allowing each member to contribute their strengths. Regular discussions kept us aligned and ensured smooth collaboration. I’m especially grateful for my supportive and easygoing teammates, who made the process both productive and enjoyable. This project strengthened my skills in teamwork and information design, valuable lessons for future endeavors.
