Exercise 2: Sound Shaping

Record our own voice for 5 seconds then import into Adobe Audition to add voice effects. Using tools such as Parameter Equalizer and Reverb, transform our voice to be like the following:
  • Voice of phone call.
  • Voice coming from inside of closet.
  • Voice of toilet/bathroom.
  • Underground cave.
  • Alien/Orc voice

FEEDBACK

Week 4

Good work on the spreadsheet, very detailed.

REFLECTIONS

Through this audio dubbing exercise, I learned how to add and edit audio tracks in a video. Besides that, we had to record our own dialogue and look for suitable sound effects for a movie scene, which was interesting. Then, we had to do sound shaping and edit our own voice to be in different scenarios. Overall, it was a fun learning experience. I gained insight on how much work and details go into a single scene in terms of audio and sound effects. Furthermore, I can see the crucial role of good audio in a successful video production.
